Description

This scarf is hand woven on traditional loom by skilled weaver in Naqadah village in Qena, travelled to Shandaweel Island, in Sohag governorate, where the artisan women are known for having their own styles of handmade embroidery.

The beautiful fully embroidered “Fellahi “scarf comes with stories feature joyful scenes of date palm trees, pigeon houses, sheep, children playing, women carrying water, sun and birds. Hand sewn images on cloth are very special because they are simply a reflection of countryside daily life.
